Design Processes

I have developed a style of design that greatly focuses on iteration and testing. While I plan out goals and stages of projects before I begin, I usually find that adaptation and significant changes are needed in the middle of realizing a design in order to meet the expectations and needs of users.

For graphic design projects, such as creating documents, I typically begin by closely analyzing the imagery and style of the project, brand, and related materials I am set to create content with. Afterward, I align my own designs with existing materials by paying close attention to thematic elements such as color palettes, themes, visual layouts, and information hierarchies. Keeping a consistent visual identity and format becomes key to me as I develop my designs to bring audiences information in the clearest manner possible.

When I make programs for users to directly interact with, such as games and websites, I regularly test out new changes to see how they function, and I perform tests with new and returning users to obtain opinions on the functionality and clarity of information within experiences. Constant testing at every point of projects becomes my priority while I work to polish experiences and ensure problems are addressed before users suffer from them.

No matter which medium I use, feedback, references, and constant testing are essential to me in ensuring users engage in cohesive, well-executed experiences.
